Windows 11 Update KB5020044 Fixes One More Important Bug
Microsoft has recently released Windows 11 version 22H2 cumulative update KB5020044 for users who don’t mind installing a preview update, and according to the company, another major bug has been fixed as part of this patch.
In a post on the Windows Health Dashboard, Microsoft explains that update KB5020044 fixes the bug that caused applications to become unresponsive when changing IME input modes.
The glitch was first acknowledged in mid-November, when Microsoft explained that the glitch only existed in Windows 11 version 22H2.
“After installing Windows 11, version 22H2 (also called Windows 11 2022 Update), certain applications may become unresponsive when keyboard shortcuts are used to turn on/off or change IME (Input Method Editor) input modes,” Microsoft explains.
