Windows 11 Task Manager Could Soon Get a Search Feature

Microsoft is experimenting with lots of new features for Windows 11, and one of the ideas that the company seems to be planning to test as part of the Insider program concerns the Task Manager.

As discovered by Deskmodder (via PhantomOcean3 on reddit), Microsoft has quietly integrated a search feature for Task Manager in Windows 11 build 25231 for the Dev channel.

The feature isn’t enabled by default and must be activated with Vivetool, but for the time being, it doesn’t seem to be ready for public testing in the first place.

The new feature will let users search for a process name, publisher, or PID, and without a doubt, it’ll make finding a specific process much easier.
