KB5020044 was published earlier this week as a preview update, providing users with early access to the improvements that would become available for everybody as part of the next Patch Tuesday update.
However, the Redmond-based software giant says KB5020044 is also causing issues with Task Manager on Windows 11 version 22H2, as the application would no longer be displayed in the correct visual style.
In other words, part of the UI in Task Manager would no longer be readable, Microsoft says.
“After installing KB5020044, Task Manager might display certain elements in the user interface (UI) in unexpected colors.
