Windows 11 22H2 Could Reach RTM This Month

Microsoft is already working on the next Windows 11 feature update, and the Insider program is a great way to try out what’s coming when the rollout starts (though Microsoft insists that some of the changes it’s trying out in the Dev channel may never see the daylight anyway or, at least, they don’t have a release date).

This year, however, Microsoft is expected to announce one major feature update for Windows 11, as the company has switched to a one release per year strategy, unlike in the Windows 10 days when it shipped two major updates every year.

Codenamed Sun Valley 2 and also referred to as Windows 11 version 22H2, this highly anticipated update could reach the RTM phase as soon as this month, according to @XenoPanther on Twitter.

Of course, there’s no guarantee this is accurate, and Microsoft could very well change the target date for this milestone if it comes across an important bug… (read more)
