Surface Laptop 4 Could Come with Older AMD Chip, But Still Hope for Ryzen 5000

Microsoft is projected to take the wraps off the Surface Laptop 4 as soon as this spring (or, if not, in the fall of this year), and needless to say, everybody expects major upgrades on all fronts.

Including under the hood, that is, as Microsoft going for the latest-generation hardware is something that makes total sense for a device that’s supposed to serve as a pioneer of the Surface lineup.

But according to NotebookCheck, there’s some bad news in this regard. Because a recently discovered benchmark indicates that the Surface Laptop 4 could come with AMZ Ryzen 7 under the hood and not with the Ryzen 5000.

Now, I know what you’re thinking. Why would Microsoft launch a Surface Laptop with an old chip when, in fact, only the best hardware is supposed to be available on Surface devices?
