Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury has arrived on Nintendo Switch, and a day one update for the game is now live. It appears to be a very minor one, however. The patch notes on Nintendo’s support website simply say that the version 1.1.0 update “fixed various issues to improve the overall gameplay experience.”
In celebration of the game’s release, Nintendo has also shared a new launch trailer for Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury. This video gives viewers a quick look at both components of the package: the original Wii U game, and the new Bowser’s Fury mode, a self-contained mini-adventure that has Mario collecting Cat Shines around an open-world level.
Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury has been well-received by critics. GameSpot scored it a 9/10 in our Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury review and wrote, “Put together, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury is a spectacular package. Super Mario 3D World is an absolute joy of classic platforming excellence, and this is the best version of it thanks to some well-calibrated improvements. Bowser’s Fury is peculiar and less polished, but it dares to poke fun at its own oddities and it has a wild creative streak.”
