Some Windows 10 Devices Will Be Automatically Updated to the Latest Version

Microsoft is getting ready for the end of another Windows 10 version, so the company plans to begin to automatically update the devices still running this operating system to the latest version available today.

Windows 10 version 21H1 will receive its last batch of updates next month, and Microsoft warns that users need to update to a newer release as soon as possible.

If this wouldn’t happen, the company says it’ll begin a new round of automatic updates on these devices. In other words, the computers still running Windows 10 version 21H1 will be automatically updated to version 22H2 just to make sure they remain protected.

It’s time to upgrade to a newer version of Windows 10

Worth knowing, however, is that the upgrade to Windows 11 wouldn’t take place unless users specifically request it. Obviously, this only applies to devices that are eligible for the switch to Windows 11, as otherwise, the rest of computers are stuck on Windows 10.
