Rugrats Revival Series With Original Voice Cast Coming From Paramount+

Rugrats, the popular ’90s Nickelodeon cartoon about a group of toddlers, is getting a 3D CGI revival. The new show will be released by Paramount+, ViacomCBS’s revamped version of its CBS All Access streaming platform.

The news confirms steady rumors last fall about a new Rugrats reboot. Check out a first look trailer for the show below.

A release accompanying the announcement doesn’t add much more information beyond the fact that the series is on its way–a similar handling of the ViacomCBS’s announcement of a new Beavis and Butt-Head movie, which didn’t even specify if series creator Mike Judge is involved. In the above trailer, it looks like Rugrats has not changed the formula much, and many of the original voice actors are returning. We only hear Tommy, Chuckie, and Angelica speak, and only see twins Phil and Lill, as well as Susie. Reptar also makes an appearance.
