No Android App Support Coming to Xbox as Full Focus Now on Windows 11

Microsoft is working on bringing Android apps on Windows 11, and while this feature wouldn’t be available on day one when the operating system launches next month, a recent listing in the Microsoft Store confirmed this ambitious release isn’t very far either.

Called the Windows Subsystem for Android, the Microsoft Store listing also suggested that Microsoft could end up bringing Android apps to Xbox as well, something that the Redmond-based software giant itself hasn’t officially announced.

But as it turns out, the company doesn’t necessarily want to bring Android apps to Xbox. Or at least, not right now, Microsoft told WindowsCentral in a statement.

In the meantime, Microsoft is working around the clock on bringing Android apps to Windows 11, though an ETA hasn’t been shared just yet.
