Microsoft Releases September 2021 Windows 10 Cumulative Updates

Microsoft has published a new batch of cumulative updates for Windows 10, this time as part of the typical monthly Patch Tuesday taking place on the second Tuesday of every month.

The new cumulative updates are mostly aimed at fixing security problems, and this is the reason they land on a Patch Tuesday in the first place.

So while all eyes are currently on Windows 11, you should still install these updates on your devices if you’re running Windows 10, especially as they address security vulnerabilities in the operating system.

Needless to say, Windows 10 version 2004, 20H2, and 21H1, are the ones running on most devices, and in this case, the update is KB5005565.

On the other hand, some older versions of Windows 10, including 1703, 1709, 1803, and 1903 are no longer serviced as they have already reached the end of support.
