Magic: Legends Open Beta Kicks Off on March 23

A new game in the Magic: The Gathering universe that’s not done by Wizards of the Coast is going to be released this year. Magic: Legends is developed by Cryptic Studios and published by Perfect World Entertainment, the same companies behind the official Neverwinter MMORPG.

We’ve just been informed that Magic: Legends will enter open beta on March 23, but card game fans won’t be able to play it unless they have a valid Epic Games Store account. On the bright side, those who do choose to play the open beta on Epic Games will be able to unlock new content through the Epic Planeswalker Starter Pack for free through April 6.

The bundled that players can unlocked contains a Moorland Ranger Costume, Moorland Ranger Werewolf Summon Skin, and 2 drop boosts, which increase the drop rate of rewards for 30 minutes of play in either instanced or overworld content.
