Ion Fury’s Expansion Aftershock Launches This Summer

Developer Voidpoint and publishers 3D Realms and 1C Entertainment have just announced Ion Fury, the cyberpunk first-person shooter launched back in 2019, will be getting an expansion sometime this summer. The upcoming expansion is called Aftershock and will be launched on PC (via Steam and GOG), PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.

Aftershock continues the story of Ion Fury’s protagonist but in a new universe and new weapons. After defeating the villain in the original game, Shelly Harrison decides to celebrate at a local bar. When explosions interrupt her tasty beverage, she rushes out to find Heskel in a monstrous flying machine, cackling madly as he rockets away toward a mushroom cloud on the horizon.

For some reason, Heskel isn’t as dead as Shelly thought, so the fight continues with multiple brand-new zones to explore, new dangerous enemies, new armaments to destroy them with, and some blazing-fast high-speed vehicle combat.
