Harry Potter actor Rupert Grint, who played Ron Weasley in the blockbuster magical series, has said working on the films over the 10 years felt “quite suffocating” at times, but overall it was a great experience.
Speaking to Dax Shepard on his podcast, Grint said the filming schedule and duration of the timeline–10 years for all the films–eventually took a toll on him. But overall, working on the movie sets with his film family was a good experience for him.
“There was a time where it felt quite suffocating, because it was heavy going, because it was every day for 10 years in the end,” Grint said (via ComicBook). “It was a great experience. Such a nice kind of family atmosphere. It was always the same crew we kind of grew up with, so it was a great place to be. But sometimes it definitely felt like, ‘I want to do something else. See what else is out there.'”
