Acclaimed author George R.R. Martin is keeping very busy. In addition to finishing the seventh A Song of Ice and Fire book, he’s consulting on the Game of Thrones TV spinoffs and contributing to the video game Elden Ring. Now he’s involved in another project.
Deadline is reporting that Martin will be an executive producer on the new HBO adaptation of the sci-fi story Roadmarks from writer Roger Zelazny. Star Trek: Discovery’s Kalinda Vazquez is adapting the book for HBO, and she is is the writer, executive producer, and showrunner.
At the center of the Roadmarks novel is a highway that doubles as a time machine. Those who can find this highway can use it to reach different timelines of history to discover the mysteries of the world and change the past to alter the future. Naturally, things go sideways.
