Garmin Launches Fenix 6 Software Update Ahead of Fenix 7 Debut

Garmin is expected to take the wraps off the Fenix 7 as soon as this week, but as it turns out, the company still found some time to polish the software experience on the current models.

Today, Garmin rolled out software version 20.30 for the Fenix 6 and the Marq watches, and this time, the update comes with lots of changes.

If you’re into biking, this update brings huge news. Garmin Fenix 6 now supports eBike, eMTB, Cyclocross, Gravel Bike, Bike Commute, Bike Tour, and Road Bike profiles, therefore offering more accurate tracking according to the used modes.

The update also includes new activities, including tennis, pedal, pickleball, and snowshoe.

The changelog reveals this update also comes with additional Pulse Ox Measuring polishing and with improvements for the altimeter.
