GameSpot And CNET Discuss The Future Of Games At CES 2021

2020 was a gigantic year for gaming. Due in part to the COVID-19 pandemic that kept people in their homes, the time and money spent on gaming grew dramatically. A recent NPD study said four out of five consumers in the US played a video game in the last six months, propelling the industry to new heights in terms of total players and time/money spent on the activity.

But just how much did the industry grow in 2020, and can the gaming industry sustain the momentum and keep growing? These are some of the questions that GameSpot and sister CNET will discuss during a virtual panel at CES 2021 later this month as part of CNET’s Thought Leadership Panels.

Panelists include NPD analyst Mat Piscatella, who has been at the forefront of analyzing data and releasing reports about the health of the US game industry, along with Among Us developer Victoria Tran; video game journalist and co-founder/host of Kinda Funny, Greg Miller, will also appear on the panel to share his thoughts and insights.
