FIFA Will Become EA Sports FC in 2023
Started as a rumor at the beginning of the year, the change of the naming scheme of one of the biggest franchises in the video game industry has just been officialized. Electronic Arts revealed today that its next FIFA series game will be called EA Sports FC.
After 30 years of owning the FIFA franchise, EA is now going back to basics, although not entirely. The publisher will continue to license all the players, stadiums, teams, and leagues, just like it did until now, so from this point of view, it’s business as usual.
Along with the name change, EA also promised that EA Sports FC will continue to include Ultimate Team, Career Mode, Pro Clubs and VOLTA Football. The publisher confirmed that its licensing portfolio of more than 19,000 players, 700+ teams, 100+ stadiums and 30 leagues will be included in EA Sports FC too.
