Following the CD Projekt Red hack earlier this week, those responsible have taken the source code to the developer’s games–like Cyberpunk 2077, Gwent, and The Witcher 3–to an online auction site, allegedly starting a bid for $1 million and selling the entire kit for $7 million.
According to the well-known data security firm vx-underground, the hackers posted the source code to the Exploits forum, an internet forum populated by other hackers. Vx-underground said the hackers started a bid at $1 million for the code to Cyberpunk 2077, the free-to-play card-based game Gwent, and an unreleased version of The Witcher 3. The hackers are supposedly selling the code immediately to anyone willing to shell out $7 million.
Update: a mistake was made. They stated starting bid $1kk. This was assumed as a typo for $1,000. They meant $1,000,000. They are also selling immediately for $7,000,000.
