Apple And Skydance Animation Reach Multi-Year Deal For New TV Shows And Movies
Apple has reached a multi-year deal with Skydance Animation to create more TV shows and movies that will be exclusive to Apple TV+. Some of the first projects that Apple will take a hold of include Skydance’s Luck and Spellbound animated movies.
Skydance Animation’s original children’s sci-fi series, The Search for WondLa, will also come to Apple TV+ as part of the deal, according to Deadline.
Skydance Animation is the animated content division of billionaire David Ellison’s Skydance Media. The animation unit is run by former Pixar giant and Oscar-winner John Lasseter, who left Pixar amid sexual harassment allegations before joining Skydance.
